ABOUT ME
Hey, I'm Ethan! Storytelling is my passion, and I enjoy manipulating and intermingling many mediums to best serve the story being told. As such, my skills are multi-faceted: Graphic design (print and digital), video production (writing, directing, editing, etc.), 3D modeling/texturing, and game design. I have experience in the Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Substance Suite, Maya, Blender, GameMaker, Aseprite, and Godot. Feel free to reach out!

*These pieces were chosen to reflect a variety of skills: I do not claim to own the rights to WALL•E or God of War. The low-poly blaster, well, Mjolnir, crystal, raven, and dagger were provided by Kermit Barrette as part of my texturing course material. All other models were created by me.
Games
Ratatoskr's Reckoning
Set in the world of Norse mythology, Ratatoskr's Reckoning is a game about the collapse of the World Tree, Yggdrasil. Due to his connection to the tree, Ratatoskr, the tree's caretaker, finds his essence splintered as well. As the splintered squirrels, players must fight their way through the Nine Realms to mend the World Tree before the realms succumb to chaos. In my college game design course I served as game director and art director in a small team of three. We began development in February and had a deliverable game by the end of April.Due to the nature of the course, Ratatoskr's Reckoning is still undergoing balancing and asset redesigning before it is available for sale.

QWERTY
What if the controls a player needs to beat their game had their own hopes and dreams?Currently in development, QWERTY is my first solo indie game. Over the years, indie games have analyzed and commented on how players interact with NPCs, gaming as a medium, tropes within storytelling, and more. My goal with QWERTY is similar. As players, we take our controls for granted. But having some amount of control is what makes a game a game. What if you had to work for it? What if it was stripped away?Release date is TBD as most of my time on games is spent on Paradiso.

Paradiso
Paradiso is an adaptation of Dante's Divine Comedy, namely Inferno and, as the name suggests, Paradiso. The Divine Comedy has greatly influenced modern storytelling and religion, but the text itself is one that very few have approached. With Paradiso, my goal is to bring a fresh look to this story with memorable characters, tight platforming, and mechanics inspired by the themes of Dani (Dante)'s trek. Unlike the source material, this journey is yours as much as it is Dani's.I expect a playable demo to be available by the end of 2025

Video
Nine to Forever
Co-written and co-directed with my friend, Cameron Mead, Nine to Forever served as the final project for our second semester of Digital Video. The entire production process took about 7 weeks split between the two of us. A sampling of our pre-production materials can be found here
TotM Watershed Council Commercials
As part of a suite of promotional materials made for Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council as a client-based Communication Design course, this trio of commercials was created to spread awareness about septic systems. The finished products were created as a series with the intent that each communicates sufficient information on its own. The video linked has 16:9 and 9:16 edits for all three. A sample of my production materials can be found here
The Salty Fellows are a collaborative group of four close friends. We all have backgrounds in music, comedy, and theatre, so the channel serves as the host of all our random creative endeavors. As a result, not all the videos are created by me, but the overall style is reflective of mine as an individual.
